A silver Dell laptop, miscellaneous video games, a silver bracelet with the name “Vincent” engraved on it, a Tiffany ring with three hearts, a watch and jewelry were among items taken in a burglary in an apartment on the 700 block of Hinman Avenue on July 12.
An Electra 26-inch women’s bicycle and a Schwinn 26-inch bicycle were taken from an unlocked garage on the 2300 block of Ridgeway Avenue sometime between 7:30 p.m., July 10 and 11:30 a.m., July 11.
A Macbook Pro, a canvas briefcase with contents and cash were taken from an unlocked apartment on the 2200 block of Maple Avenue on July 9.
A black Microsoft Xbox with controllers and headset, a backpack with contents and Bose noise-canceling headphones were taken from an apartment on the 900 block Gaffield Place on July 9. Someone removed an air conditioning unit from a window to gain entry.
A Sony game console and other electronics were removed from an apartment on the 2200 block of Ridge Avenue on July 9.
A 29-inch hybrid bike and a 29-inch Fuji bike were taken from an open garage on the 1700 block of Grey Avenue on July 10.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE
Someone damaged the windshield of a 2002 Ford parked on the 600 block of Washington Street on July 13.
A man broke the window of a restaurant on the 100 block of Asbury Avenue on July 8.
Someone slashed the tires of a 2015 Ford parked on the street in the 600 block of Brummel Avenue sometime between 8 p.m, July 8 and 6 a.m., July 10.
Someone broke a window at a business on the 900 block of Pitner Avenue sometime between 4:30 p.m., on July 6 and 8:30 a.m., July 7.
Someone scratched a 2016 Mercedes Benz parked in a business parking lot on the 2400 block of Howard Street on July 8.
Sharmin Brownlee, 45, of the 1100 block of Davis Street, was charged with criminal damage to property. Brownlee is due in court July 20.
Mario Donte Hatfield, 23, of the 2100 block of Dewey Avenue, was charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle. He is due in court Aug. 3.
Gervase M. Pruett, 22, of the 5700 block of North Kenmore, Chicago, was charged with criminal damage to property. No court date was given.
Don E. Allen, 58, of the 300 block of Callan Avenue, was charged with domestic battery. He is due in court July 20.
Zaria Maranda Jones, 19, of the 7700 block of N. Hermitage, Chicago, was charged with simple battery. She is due in court Aug. 17.
Tina M. Channey, 52, of the 1800 block of Lake Street, was charged with domestic battery. She is due in court July 20.
Eight bottles of Tide detergent were taken from a pharmacy on the 600 block of Chicago Avenue on July 9.
A black two-piece swimsuit was removed from a store on the on the 900 block of Church Street on July 6.
Julio A. Sosa, 23, of the 4400 block of Main Street in Skokie, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. No court date was listed.
Nathaniel Godson-Amamoo Easington, 18, of the 800 block of Greenleaf Street,, was charged with possession of marijuana. He is due in court Aug. 17.
THEFT UNDER $500
A light green bicycle with diamond stickers on it was removed from school grounds on the 1500 block of Wesley Avenue sometime between 11 p.m., July 11 and 4:20 p.m., July 12.
Michael L. Allen, 28, of the 1600 block of Howard Street was charged with violation of the city’s alcohol ordinance. He is due in court Aug. 12.
Glenn Hawkins, 66, of the 1300 block of W. Estes, Chicago, was charged with driving while under the influence. He is due in court Aug. 5.
