Greener BeeGreen GadgetsBlack Friday: The tech and gadgets actually worth investing in

Deciding which gadgets are worthy of your hard-earned cash is tricky at the best of times. Black Friday, with all its flash sales and dramatic discounts, makes it even harder.

Yet, if you play it right, Black Friday can be a decent opportunity to replace worn-out appliances and get some savvy Christmas shopping done. Read on for i‘s guide to the tech worth splashing out (and making a saving) on.

Some deals will not be updated until Friday morning, so don’t panic if the links are not yet displaying the discounted price.

– Use a price checking website like to make sure you’re really getting a bargain. It compares discounted prices to original RRPs, as well as the retailer offering the best rate. You can also track changing prices on Amazon through

– Be vigilant when entering debit or credit card details. Check for the green padlock icon on the left hand side of the url bar – this indicates that the site is secure, and your details are being shared with it alone.

– Beware of email offers that sound too good to be true. They probably are. Likewise, don’t open any attachments or click on any links in offer or shipping confirmation emails from sources you don’t recognise.

– Shop around. If you’ve got your heart set on a particular product, you may find it cheaper elsewhere.

– Be careful of what you broadcast on social media, or you may find one of your purchases has become mysteriously waylaid in transit.
