MANILA — Summer is coming, and surely, you can’t wait to go on vacation and travel with your special ones.
But while waiting for your vacation leaves to be approved, here are some of the shopping promos and activities you can check out.
These are not endorsed by ABS-CBN News.
1. New Samsung phone boasts of front flash
Tech giant Samsung introduced its newest phone, the J2 Prime, at a launch event during a special screening of “My Ex and Whys” with Samsung brand ambassador and the movie’s star Liza Soberano.
“What I noticed most about it is the camera. The front camera has a flash now. When you take selfies at night, you can see yourself better, clearer and a lot prettier,” Soberano said.
Priced at P5,990, this is Samsung’s most affordable LTE quad-core phone running on Android Marshmallow. It is a big change from its predecessor, the J2 DTV which came with a television feature that allowed users to watch TV without internet. It has a 5-inch TFT screen as compared to the 4.70-inch AMOLED of the J2 DTV. The J2 Prime ditches the TV in favor of more social media specific features like the 5MP front camera with a flash to help take better selfies. The rear 8MP camera is standard for phones at this price point. The J2 Prime’s battery life has also been boosted by a 2600mAH battery and a built-in Ultra-Power Saving Feature.
For a Samsung phone, this is comparable to the cheaper Huawei Y5ii which also has LTE but runs on the older Android Lollipop, or the more expensive Asus Zenfone Go LTE.
Though, the flash on the front camera is what really differentiates the J2 Prime from the other phones in its price range. If selfies on a budget are your thing, then the J2 Prime may be worth considering. — Jeeves de Veyra
