GREEN Party president Peter Sinkamba has urged President Lungu to consider declaring the days before and after election day as Constitutional Public holidays to enable Zambians vote smoothly.
He said to encourage a high turnout in the elections, August 10, 11 and 12 should be holidays because not every registered voter resides in the areas where they will cast their vote hence the need to provide for days for travel.
In a statement released in Lusaka yesterday, the Green Party leader said the three days holiday will also enable workers who may not be allowed a day off to exercise their right to vote.
