The first long Bank Holiday weekend of May fallls this Monday, May 1.

Traditionally Bank Holidays give us more time to spend with family and friends, or to just lounge around on the sofa getting some all important rest and relaxation.

But there’s always the possibility of unexpected visitors or spontaneous, unplanned social activities.

Both mean that you probably need to make a trip to your local supermarket to stock up on food, wine, beer, DVDs, or other provisions.

But it’s very easy to get caught out on Bank Holidays as opening times for supermarkets will usually vary from the normal opening hours.

And that’s certainly the case for this May Bank Holiday.
