The Green Living Festival is scheduled to take place from noon to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, in the Multipurpose Room at the DeKalb County Health Department.
The Green Living Festival willoffer free money-saving educational activities. Workshops include gardening, healthy food preparation, zero waste, green living and energy savings.
The Green Living Festival will coincide with theDeKalb County Health Department’s annual Healthy Start (immunization and health checks) as well as the Shoe Share (the annual gym shoe giveaway).
Children are welcome to join their parents in any of the five 20-minute workshops. Otherwise, they can participate in the ongoing games, crafts and tours of the Community Gardens.
The DeKalb County Health Department is at2550 N. Annie Glidden Road in DeKalb.
Green Living Festival is free to the public and intended to help families learn to live greener and healthier, while saving money.
