MARLBOROUGH – New England’s largest holistic health and wellness expo will return to the city  this weekend.

The 11th annual Natural Living Expo – held at the Best Western Royal Plaza Trade Center – will feature 275 exhibitors, 90 workshops and four keynote speakers showcasing holistic health and wellness programs.

“It’s so unique,” said Michela Brudner, event organizer. “It’s a once a year, can’t miss event. There’s nothing like this in New England. There truly is something for everyone at this event.”

Brudner organized the event a decade ago after noticing growing interest in healthy living and alternative forms of medicine. The expo exposes thousands to spirit-healing connections, green living, healthy eating and holistic healing – a form of preventative care that uses tools such as massage therapy and psychic readings.

“There’s so many healing modalities that are explained at this show,” said Brudner.

Keynote speeches will touch on how to use herbs for health and healing, how healthy eating can increase your happiness and improve your health and how simply exercises can ease chronic pain.

“Thousands of people swear by those exercises,” said Brudner.

Workshops include yoga, movement and meditation sessions, alternative medicine and healthy cooking demonstrations presented by leaders in the holistic field.

Holistic wellness products, natural beauty care, fair-trade goods from around the world, local artisan jewelry, clothing and tarot cards will be available for purchase.

A healthy foods tent with vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free choices will be available. A free sample bar will feature more than 50 organic products and foods for visitors to try.

Brudner hopes people leave the expo with new exercises or lifestyle habits they can maintain in their day-to-day lives.

The expo will be held Saturday, Nov. 11 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Weekend admission is $12 in advance or $15 at the door. Kids under 12 are free.
