FRANKIE Essex is delighted to have finally shed her “saggy” belly – and now she’s sharing her top tips for those looking to get into shape in the New Year.

The reality star vowed never to wear a bikini again after she was targeted by online trolls last year when she showed off her size 12 figure while celebrating her 30th birthday on holiday in Spain.

Frankie – who has lost 10lbs and dropped to a size 10 – says she decided to take action after the commentators made her feel down.

She told Closer magazine: “I put on a bit of weight last year because it’s just so hard to keep it off when you’re so busy.

“In September, I had some comments about my bikini body. They were rude and really got me down, but I always come up fighting.

“In the heat of the moment I said I’d never wear a bikini again, but I finally feel confident again. I’m happy and healthy.”

Although Frankie initially got into shape while training for her exercise DVD, she says her schedule makes a trim physique hard to maintain.

She revealed her top tips for a flat stomach include drinking green tea and staying focused.

Frankie said: “I have 2-3 cups of green tea a day. It helps you detox. Ginger or mint are really nice. But I can’t stomach the plain one.

“I do leg raises to help tone my abs. It really targets the lower stomach.

“If I have a bloated day, I’ll wear black. It’s so slimming. I don’t beat myself up if I have a treat. I can just continue eating healthily the next day.”

She added: “Unless you’re an absolute gym fanatic and go every single day, it’s really hard to keep up. I also injured my knee, so I can’t run anymore as it spasm.

“But I’ve got back into exercise in the last couple of months.

“I’ve been going swimming a lot as it’s gentle on my knee and doing floor work with weights.”

Despite Frankie’s new look and renewed body confidence, she’s in no rush to find a man.

She added: “Everyone is on at me about getting a fella, but I’m happy on my own at the moment.

“I’ll see what the New Year brings.”
