Editor’s note: The Green Alliance is replacing its weekly Green Tips feature with a brief description of a member business and what it does to be green.

Who: Pixels Pulp

What: Founded in 2008, Pixels Pulp specializes in developing brands — including logos, print collateral, Web sites, trade show displays and everything in between — all with an eye toward sustainability.

Where: Berwick, Maine

What makes them green:

  • They source FSC certified papers and printers, biodegradable display materials, Web site development resources that utilize renewable energy, and other environmentally responsible options.
  • They create materials that have a longer shelf life by making them more efficient, smaller, or multipurpose, making them less likely to end up in the recycling bin.
  • They work remotely out of their home offices so they have a reduced carbon footprint — no brick and mortar to maintain, no commute.
