Go green with the city of Roswell and Keep Roswell Beautiful at the 6th Annual Roswell Green Expo on Feb. 18.
Learn more about incorporating environmentally responsible, sustainable practices and products into home and day-to-day life at this family-friendly event.
The event is free and will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bill Johnson Community Activity Building at Roswell Area Park.
“The whole event is designed to actively engage community members while teaching simple ways to be sustainable and green. It is the perfect way for businesses and organizations to let the community know that they want to be part of a greener tomorrow,” said Keep Roswell Beautiful Executive Director Janet Liberman, also co-chair of the Roswell Green Expo.
The Green Market will showcase local and regional vendors, artisans, non-profit organizations and a diverse array of environmentally friendly services and products.
There will also be food trucks, A “do-it-yourself” rain barrel workshop presented by Roswell Environmental Education Coordinator Vicki Culbreth. Cost is $10 per barrel, one per household and registration is required at www.roswellgreenexpo.org.
Favorite Costumed Characters, including “KiRBy” from Keep Roswell Beautiful, EcoMan, Captain Planet, City of Roswell’s Roz the Squirrel, and Sparky the Fire Dog will make appearances and participate in the mascot dance-off.
Keep Roswell Beautiful will host the Earth Balloon and other kid-friendly activities.

Additional activities include: pottery demonstrations, puppet show, sustainable food seminar and tastings with Fresh Market and an ecotourism seminar with Green Global Travel.
A Nissan LEAF from Regal Nissan of Roswell will be on display.
Attendees can enter to win raffle prizes and giveaways.
“The expo is a great way for residents to learn about being green while having fun, and none of it would be possible without the support of our sponsors and vendors,” said Liberman.
